In addition to publishing books, Homodoxy creates educational opportunities for curiously minded LGBTQ people from all walks of life in New Haven.
Our Homodoxy Seminars are lively discussion groups where we talk about texts and ideas in community—as fun as a book club but with an educational bent.

Pure and Impure Thoughts
Purity can be a measure of worth, truth, holiness, or homogeneity. It is sometimes a state of preparation and sometimes a goal in itself. It is sought, and it is enforced.
Pure and Impure Thoughts is an educational discussion group that explores theological, sexual, political, and social meanings of purity and impurity across religious traditions and writing genres—particularly as they relate to LGBTQ lives and loves.
Conversation is informal, exploratory, and engaged. Readings vary in length and difficulty, from casual reading to academic texts.
